With garden areas on all three sides of the
  Grinnell (the equivalent of three city blocks)
  a large planter in the courtyard, and 21 tree-
  pits, Grinnell gardening is a time-
  consuming venture.  Over the years, the
  Grinnell has been fortunate to have volunteer
  gardeners plan, plant, water, and cultivate
  our gardens, as well as the plants in our
  lobbies. 

  For time they have spent over the years
  tending our gardens and the plants in our
  lobbies, the Grinnell salutes:
